"Coast Guard Investigates Suspected Oil Spill Off Southern California's Huntington Beach Coast"

An apparent oil spill was observed off the Southern California coast near Huntington Beach, prompting deployment of personnel to evaluate the incident and coordinate with local, state, and federal partners. The slick, about 2 1/2 miles long, was spotted 1 1/2 miles off the beach and is being monitored by the U.S. Coast Guard.
