Harvard Graduation Marred by Mass Walkout and Pro-Palestine Protests

During Harvard's commencement, senior Shruthi Kumar deviated from her prepared speech to criticize the university for barring 13 students involved in an anti-Israel protest from graduating. Her remarks led to a walkout by over 1,000 students, who chanted and held signs in support of the excluded students. Harvard had suspended and sanctioned the students for their participation in the protest, which included replacing the American flag with a Palestinian one. The university stated that the students violated policies and could appeal the decision.
