St. Patrick's Day Traffic Enforcement Results in Multiple Arrests for Impaired Driving.

Omaha Police Department conducted eight enforcement operations during St. Patrick's Day weekend resulting in 34 arrests and 257 citations issued. The initiative aimed to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes involving alcohol. The majority of incidents involved speeding, reckless driving, or negligent driving, while 11 incidents were DUIs or drug arrests. One officer was assaulted during a DUI arrest, and another officer arrested a burglary suspect during the enforcement.
