"Melrose Park Man Denied Bond in Franklin Park Shooting"

A 37-year-old man from Melrose Park, Illinois, has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 9-year-old Ulysses Campos during a family birthday party in Franklin Park. The suspect, Javier Murillo, allegedly exchanged words with Campos' father before driving away and firing three to four gunshots at the group, fatally hitting the child. Murillo was denied bond during a court hearing, and two witnesses identified him as the shooter and driver of the white SUV used in the incident.
