Aurora Police Fatally Shoot 14-Year-Old Armed with Pellet Gun

The 14-year-old boy who was killed by police in Aurora last week had a pellet gun, not a semiautomatic pistol as previously claimed by police. The boy was part of a group of teens who stole from a nearby store and ran from police. The family and supporters were waiting outside the Aurora Municipal Center when the information was made public. The family attorney accused the police of misleading the public about what happened. Protests erupted outside the center after the body camera video was released.
