17 men have been arrested and sophisticated weapons used in gang wars have been seized in California after a months-long federal investigation into internecine Sikh-on-Sikh violence between two rival factions. The groups are alleged to be responsible for numerous violent crimes and shootings, including at two gurdwaras. The violence began in 2018 at the annual Sikh Parade in Yuba City and soon escalated to frequent shootings. The joint law enforcement effort resulted in the seizure of 41 firearms and the arrest of suspected gang members and their associates.
