"Homegrown Marijuana Legalized in Minnesota, Raises Concerns for Law Enforcement"

Minnesotans will be able to grow up to eight marijuana plants at home starting August 1, the same day recreational use of marijuana becomes legal for adults 21 and older. However, before that can happen, they will need seeds. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture will regulate marijuana seed like any other, subject to testing rules and labeling requirements under the state seed law. Online retailers are already selling them, and next month, the agency will issue permits for companies to sell seed in the state.
