Spot the Correctly Written 'G': A Challenge for Most People

Psychologists at Johns Hopkins University have found that most people are not aware that there are two types of the lowercase letter 'g': the open tail 'g' and the loop tail 'g'. In a study, most participants failed to recall the existence of the loop tail 'g', even though they could read it. The researchers suggest that this could be because we are not taught to write this kind of 'g' in school. The study raises questions about the impact of writing less and using more devices on our reading abilities.
