"Nurse Charged for Allegedly Spreading Hep C to Patients"

Nurse Cora Weberg has been charged with tampering with consumer products after allegedly infecting at least a dozen people with Hepatitis C by injecting herself with narcotics meant for patients and then using the same syringe on them. Weberg, who had treated all the infected patients, was the only common link between them according to a CDC report. She is expected to plead guilty to the tampering charge, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Weberg's attorney claims there is no genetic connection between her and the infected patients, but investigators found all 12 patients carried the same genetic strain of Hep C.
