"Legal Consequences: Man Faces Felony Charge for Concealing HIV Status"

A man in metro Atlanta has been charged with felony reckless conduct for allegedly infecting another person with HIV without disclosing his status. The victim, Denise Broadie, was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 but later found out she had AIDS. Police believe her husband, Cleveland Broadie, knowingly infected her and did not disclose his HIV-positive status. Denise Broadie's death certificate states that she died from pneumonia and respiratory failure due to HIV-AIDS. Prosecutors have also filed a second charge against Cleveland Broadie for allegedly having unprotected sex with another victim this year without disclosing his status. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison for each count.
