The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has stated that the band's return to the United States is "very doubtful" due to the high costs and financial risk involved in touring. Daltrey cited the expenses of rehearsals, staging, crew, buses, and hotels, which can amount to $600,000 to a million in the hole before earning it back. Additionally, the risk of COVID-19 further complicates the situation. The band is currently booked for a European tour through the summer.
