Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma shortly after overcoming breast cancer. The skin cancer was discovered during reconstructive surgery following her mastectomy, with one of the moles identified as cancerous. Ferguson's spokesperson emphasized the importance of early detection and stated that she is undergoing further investigations to ensure the cancer has been caught in its early stages. Melanoma, while accounting for only 1 percent of skin cancer cases, is one of the most dangerous forms of the disease.
