Fatal Fall at Hyundai Plant Site in Georgia Claims Construction Worker's Life

A construction worker, identified as Victor Javier Cajija Gamboa, died after falling 60 feet at the construction site of Hyundai's new electric vehicle plant in Georgia. The incident occurred in the area of what will become the paint shop of the plant. Hyundai Motor Group stated that initial information indicates part of Gamboa's safety harness failed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the workplace death. Once complete, the facility will employ more than 8,000 workers and produce up to 300,000 electric vehicles each year.
