Deer Valley's Massive Expansion: Mayflower Resort Acquisition and Tripling in Size

Deer Valley Resorts has reached an agreement with Extell Development Company to operate the Mayflower Resort near Park City, Utah. The collaboration will result in an expansion of up to 5,726 acres of terrain, making it one of the largest ski areas in the country. Both resorts will be run jointly linked, allowing skiers to access both on the same pass. The expansion raises concerns about maintaining Deer Valley's renowned reputation while tripling in size. Mayflower Resort is touted as the first luxury, all-season resort to open in North America in 40 years.
