Toyota and Pony.ai Collaborate to Mass Produce Robotaxis in China

Toyota and Pony.ai are partnering to mass produce robotaxis in China, with plans to establish a venture that will manufacture autonomous vehicles equipped with Pony.ai's self-driving technology and ride-hailing services. The companies, along with GAC-Toyota, will invest over 1 billion yuan ($140 million) in the project. This move reflects Toyota's commitment to the Chinese market and its collaboration with Pony.ai, while supporting the growth of the connected car industry.
