The Alarming Reality of Easily Cracked and Common Passwords

A study conducted by NordPass reveals that the most common passwords, such as "123456" and "admin," can be cracked in less than a second. Analyzing data from 35 countries and eight different platforms, the study found that passwords consisting of strings of numbers are the most prevalent. Even passwords that include special characters or mix upper and lower case letters, like "P@ssw0rd," can be cracked quickly. NordPass recommends creating strong passwords with at least 20 characters and avoiding easily guessable information, such as birthdays. It also emphasizes the importance of using different passwords across platforms to enhance online security.
