Elon Musk Plans xAI Supercomputer for Enhanced Grok

Elon Musk's startup xAI plans to build a supercomputer by fall 2025 to power a more advanced version of its Grok chatbot. This "gigafactory of compute" will use tens of thousands of NVIDIA H100 GPUs and cost billions of dollars. The new GPU cluster will be at least four times larger than those used by competitors, aiming to support Grok 3.0, which requires 100,000 GPUs. Grok 1.5, released in April, can process visual information and text, and xAI has started rolling out AI-generated news summaries for premium users.
