Advancing AI Safety: NIST and Oak Ridge National Laboratory Collaborate with Biden Administration

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather input and support its response to the Executive Order on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). NIST is seeking feedback from industry, academia, and civil society to develop guidelines, consensus-based standards, and testing environments for the evaluation of AI systems. The information collected will help NIST in the safe and responsible development and use of AI. Responses are due by February 2, 2024.
