Yanira Alvarez, the winner of last summer's $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot, has been revealed by California Lottery officials. She purchased the winning ticket at Las Palmitas Mini Market in downtown Los Angeles, ending a 39-draw jackpot run for Powerball. Alvarez opted for the cash value of $558.1 million before federal taxes, and this weekend's Powerball jackpot is projected to be $935 million with an estimated cash value of $449.7 million.
