Austin, Texas, has seen the highest increase in home values over the past 25 years, with prices soaring 354%, according to a recent SmartAsset study. Bend, Oregon, and Boise, Idaho, also made the top three. California dominated the rankings, with eight out of the top 15 cities for home-price growth, while Florida had two. In contrast, some Rust Belt states like Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio saw home values increase by an average of 80% or less since 1998.
