Resignation of Cannabis Management Director Amid Illegal Product Sales Allegations

Erin DuPree, the newly appointed director of Minnesota's Office of Cannabis Management, has resigned following allegations that she sold illegal products through her company, Loonacy Cannabis Co. DuPree, an entrepreneur and consultant, denied knowingly selling noncompliant products but acknowledged becoming a distraction to the important work of regulating the adult-use cannabis market in Minnesota. The state recently legalized adult-use cannabis, and DuPree was set to lead the establishment and regulation of the industry.
