The Joys and Challenges of Backyard Tiny House Living

Veerle Veldhuis, a 24-year-old from the Netherlands, decided to buy and renovate a tiny home in her parents' backyard after struggling with her mental health and leaving university. She purchased a secondhand tiny home for 1,800.40 euros and renovated it with the help of her parents and friends. Although the renovation ended up costing more than expected, Veldhuis now enjoys having her own space and not having to worry about paying rent. She plans on moving closer to her university with her tiny house in the future.
