Pfizer and Biohaven recall 4.2M Nurtec units over packaging flaw and child poisoning risk.

Pfizer is recalling 4.2 million prescription drug packages of Nurtec ODT 75 mg orally disintegrating tablets due to the packaging not being child-resistant, which poses a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. The recall involves pharmacies nationwide that prescribed the medicine to patients between December 2021 through March 2023. Patients are advised to immediately secure the recalled product out of the sight and reach of children and contact Pfizer to get a child-resistant pouch to store the product free of charge.
