Nestlé USA is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of its Toll House chocolate chip cookie dough "break and bake" bars due to the potential presence of wood pieces. The affected products, produced on April 24 and April 25, 2023, have best-by dates of August 22 or October 23, 2023. While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, customers are advised to return the affected products to the place of purchase for a replacement or refund. Nestlé USA is working with the FDA and assures consumers that this is an isolated issue.
