Hillshire Brands Recalls Smoked Sausage Products Over Contamination Concerns

Hillshire Brands Company is recalling approximately 15,876 pounds of blended meat and poultry smoked sausage products due to possible contamination with bone fragments. The ready-to-eat products were produced on June 14, 2023, and were shipped to retail stores in California, Maryland, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. One oral injury has been reported, and consumers are advised not to consume the affected products and to either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
