Charles Goodnight Bourbon, produced by Foley Family Wines, has been named the Best Straight Bourbon of the Year at the 2024 London Spirits Competition, surprising many with its Texas origin. The high-rye expression, aged for six years and bottled at 115 proof, impressed judges with its complex flavors of dark roast coffee, s’mores, and molasses. The win marks another success for brand founder Bill Foley, who also owns award-winning wineries and the Vegas Golden Knights. This recognition also highlights the rapid rise of Texas whiskey as a lauded region of production in the US.
