Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Capital Management has re-entered the ranks of the world's top 20 hedge funds after a successful year, generating net gains of $3.5 billion in 2023 and bringing its overall gains since 2004 to $18.8 billion. The top 20 hedge funds, managing just 18.9% of all assets in the sector, have collectively generated 83% of all gains over the past three years, with Chris Hohn's TCI Fund and Ken Griffin's Citadel LLC also achieving significant gains.
