Financial Services Chair McHenry Demands SEC Records, Manhattan Prosecutor Q&A, Judge Rejects Bankman-Fried's Insurance Request

The US House Financial Services Committee has sent a second request to the SEC for documents related to the timing of the charging and arrest of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried. The SEC missed deadlines for submitting the documents requested and provided 232 pages of publicly available documents that were not responsive to the request. The legislators set a new deadline for select documents of April 17 and warned of using compulsory process if necessary. SEC Chairman Gary Gensler is set to appear before the committee in person on April 18.
