Honolulu ranks as the 15th most expensive city out of 99 analyzed in the U.S., with New York, San Jose, and Irvine being the top three. The average wage in Honolulu is about $30 an hour, and on average, an individual needs $96,500 for sustainable comfort in a major U.S. city.
