ERCOT Urges Critical Conservation Amid Texas Heatwave

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) issued a conservation appeal due to high temperatures, high demand, low wind, and declining solar power generation. While normal operations have resumed, ERCOT asked Texas consumers to conserve electricity use during peak hours to help maintain reliability.
