Record-Breaking $124 Million Donation Fuels Success at Historically Black Colleges

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have received a $124 million donation aimed at increasing enrollment and graduation rates. The donation, made by philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, will be distributed among 11 HBCUs, with each institution receiving between $10 million and $40 million. The funds will be used to support scholarships, improve infrastructure, and enhance academic programs, ultimately helping to address the persistent disparities faced by HBCUs in higher education.
