In-Flight Theft: Passenger Allegedly Steals $23K from Fellow Travelers

A Chinese national, Zhang Xiuqiang, has been accused of stealing $23,000 in cash from three fellow passengers during a Scoot Airline flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore. Zhang allegedly pilfered money from backpacks and bags, totaling $123, $21,000, and $1,700. The thefts were reported by a passenger to the flight attendant, leading to Zhang's arrest upon landing at Changi Airport. He has been charged with theft and could face up to nine years in prison if convicted.
