Xiaomi's CEO revealed that the company's first electric vehicle, the SU7, will be priced below 500,000 yuan ($69,424) and will start taking orders this week. The car, displayed at Xiaomi stores in China, comes in two versions with driving ranges of up to 668km and 800km on a single charge, positioning it competitively against Tesla's Model S. Xiaomi aims to become one of the world's top five automakers and has invested $10 billion in autos over a decade, with production being handled by a unit of state-owned automaker BAIC Group in a Beijing factory.
