"Starbucks Opens Door to Personal Cup Use for Most Orders"

Starbucks is now allowing customers to use their own personal cups for drive-thru and app orders to reduce waste, a service previously only available for in-store orders. Customers must bring a clean cup and will not have cups rinsed out by staff. The initiative, which includes a 10 cent discount and reward points for members, is part of Starbucks' broader goal to cut waste by 50% by 2030 and is in line with their efforts to encourage the use of reusables over single-use plastics. This change is applicable at company-owned and licensed locations in the US and Canada but excludes third-party app orders.
