General Motors is reducing the price of the Chevrolet Blazer EV by thousands of dollars as sales restart after an 11-week stoppage due to software issues. The 2024 Blazer EV models will start at $50,195, excluding a $7,500 federal tax incentive. GM addressed software problems without physical changes to the vehicle and strengthened its software quality validation testing for future vehicles. The company also added features based on customer feedback and will not reinstate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the Blazer or future vehicles. The price reductions aim to make the electric vehicle more competitive with gas-powered counterparts.
