Stellantis Accelerates Electric Vehicle Transition with Innovative Platform Unveiling

Stellantis, the world's fourth largest carmaker, has unveiled its new 'STLA Medium' vehicle platform, the first of four electric-centric bases that will underpin all future models. The platform is designed to support various propulsion configurations and offers a standard range of over 500 kilometers, extendable to 700 kilometers with a performance pack. Stellantis plans to manufacture the platform in multiple countries and has designed it to accommodate future battery chemistries. The company aims to have 100% of its European passenger car sales and 50% of its U.S. passenger car and light-duty truck sales as battery EVs by 2030.
