Mixed Results for Volkswagen Group's EV Sales in Q1 2023

Volkswagen reported a 42% YoY increase in battery electric vehicle (BEV) deliveries, selling 141,000 BEVs in Q1 2023. Europe drove the sales growth, with a 68% increase in BEV sales, accounting for 98,300 units. China was Volkswagen's second-largest BEV market, with 21,500 units delivered, while the US delivered approximately 15,700 BEVs. The ID.Family lineup led the charge, taking first and second place, with the ID.4/ID.5 selling 41,900 units and the ID.3 selling 23,600 units.
