Honda recalls half a million vehicles for seat belt issue.

Honda is recalling 500,000 vehicles in the US and Canada due to a problem with the front seat belts not latching properly. The recall includes popular models such as the CR-V, Accord, Odyssey, and Acura RDX from 2017 to 2020. The issue is caused by the surface coating on the buckle channel deteriorating over time, which can cause the release button to shrink and prevent the buckle from latching. Honda has not received any reports of injuries related to the problem and will replace the buckle release buttons or assemblies if needed.
