Ford Successfully Triples F-150 Lightning Production in Ambitious Project

Ford has completed its project to triple production of the all-electric F-150 Lightning, with the expansion and retooling of its Rouge Electric Vehicle Center (REVC) plant. The company aims to reach a production rate of 150,000 annual units by this fall. The retooling includes new equipment to improve build quality, such as automatic measurement and validation tools. Ford expects to build over 70,000 F-150 Lightning units by the end of the year, with production for U.S. customers set to ramp up in the fall.
