Toyota unveiled its first major update to the 4Runner SUV in 15 years with the introduction of the all-new 2025 model, which will include a hybrid version for the first time. The sixth-generation 4Runner, set to be available in the U.S. in the fall, features a standard turbocharged, 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine producing 278 horsepower, with the hybrid model boasting 326 horsepower. Toyota's focus on hybrid models aligns with consumer preferences, as hybrids accounted for 9.3% of new light vehicle registrations in the U.S. from January to November 2023, outstripping EVs by 1.8 percentage points.
