Nissan Urges Owners of Older Cars to Avoid Driving Over Airbag Explosion Risk

Nissan has issued an urgent warning for owners of approximately 84,000 older vehicles to stop driving them due to the risk of exploding Takata air bag inflators, which have caused one death and multiple injuries. The affected models include certain 2002-2006 Sentra, 2002-2004 Pathfinder, and 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4 vehicles. Owners are advised to check if their vehicle is affected and arrange for free repairs, including towing and loaner cars if necessary. This issue has led to the largest auto recall in U.S. history, involving multiple automakers.
