"Russian Travel Ban Requires Immediate Passport Handover"

Russians who have been banned from traveling abroad will be required to hand over their passports to authorities within five days of being notified, according to a new government decree. The passports will be stored by the issuing authorities until the travel ban is lifted, at which point they can be returned upon completing an application. The decree also states that individuals whose travel rights were temporarily limited due to military service must provide a military ID and proof of completion.
