TSMC Announces Second Chip Factory in Japan with Sony and Toyota Backing

TSMC plans to build a second fab in Japan through its subsidiary JASM, which will produce chips on 6 nm and 7 nm-class process technologies, making it the most advanced semiconductor production facility for logic chips in Japan.
