The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has provided a glimpse into the operational activity of its Unit 504, part of the Military Intelligence Directorate, during the recent conflict with Hamas. The unit was involved in fighting alongside ad-hoc battalions, assisting with civilian evacuations, and gathering intelligence on Hamas activities. They conducted interrogations of 300 terrorists, leading to the discovery of underground tunnels, headquarters, and ammunition depots. The unit also played a crucial role in evacuating the civilian population through phone calls, text messages, recorded messages, and distributing flyers. The efforts resulted in over 300 new terrorist incriminations and the elimination of over 100 targets.
