Moon, a self-proclaimed Hermès connoisseur, advised on proper care for these bags and the importance of building a relationship with a sales associate at Hermès to increase the chances of purchasing one. Her first Birkin was a black Togo 35cm with gold hardware, a gift to herself after graduating from medical school.
