The typical new Floridian is a millennial or Gen Xer, earning around $55,000, often married, and looking to purchase a home. Many are attracted by the lack of state income tax, pleasant weather, and business opportunities. However, this migration is contributing to a housing and affordability crisis in some areas of Florida.
