Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on SR 525 in Lynnwood Leads to Tragic Outcome

A domestic violence and kidnapping suspect, fleeing from Snohomish County deputies, caused a deadly wrong-way crash on State Route 525 in Lynnwood, resulting in the death of an 83-year-old woman. The suspect drove the wrong way on the highway, leading to a fatal collision, and it is unclear at this time if the suspect was the person who died in the crash. All lanes of SR 525 were closed for over eight hours while the Washington State Patrol investigated the scene, and the WSP is currently handling the investigation.
