New Mexico Launches Nation's First Free Universal Child Care Program

Starting in November, New Mexico will become the first U.S. state to offer free child care to all residents regardless of income, aiming to save families about $12,000 per child annually and improve family stability and workforce participation through a comprehensive investment in early childhood education.
