A cave in Siberia has been discovered to be the largest cave hyena lair ever found in Asia, containing around 400 kilograms of animal bones. The bones, including those of mammoths, rhinos, wooly bison, yaks, deer, and gazelle, were dragged into the cave by cave hyenas around 42,000 years ago. Researchers also found the skulls of two cave hyenas, as well as bones of puppies, indicating that this was a feeding hub for the predators.
