Tragic Climbing Accident Claims Man's Life at Officers Gulch

A 29-year-old climber was found dead at the base of a cliff known as Officers Wall near Copper Mountain in Colorado. The climber's friend reported him missing after he failed to return from the climb. The search was initially paused due to safety concerns but resumed the next morning with the help of 19 members from the Summit County Rescue Group. The climber's family provided his last known phone location and a video, which aided in locating his body. The Summit County Sheriff's Office conducted an accident investigation, and further information will be released by the coroner's office.
